During her internship at Iridium Communications, Alexa strengthened her creative content development skills, editing videos and designing graphics. She gained hands-on experience with the marketing lifecycle from researching ad campaigns, audience segmentation, media creation and writing copy, to publishing and tracking leads.
The 'Get Lost' Campaign's goal was to encourage people to explore nature and stay safe using Iridium's satellite devices. Alexa developed the initial template along with copy, then used it to create remaining graphics, collaborating closely with the head designer and incorporating team feedback. The ads were prepared over the course of two months and were published on Instagram and LinkedIn over the following three to four months.
'Behind the Network' was one of Alexa's favorite projects at Iridium; she developed and produced a video featuring Iridium employee Ankita Baliarsingh. Her responsibilities included drafting the interview script, assisting with filming, and editing the final piece in Adobe Premiere Pro. The project allowed Alexa to get to know Ankita, highlight her experiences, and present her story in a creative and compelling way.
Other projects included developing a pitch for a National Parks campaign with visuals, designing small graphics for customer-facing ads, and creating social media content for Iridium, all aimed at engaging audiences and supporting the brand’s marketing initiatives.
